The country house hotel at Rotherwick, near Hook, now goes forward to the finals taking place at Denbies English Vineyard, near Dorking, on December 1st, and the chance to win a place in the national VisitEngland awards.
In the same week Tylney Hall was a finalist in the 2012 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence in the category for venues and hotels that host meetings and incentive events for up to 100 delegates and over 100 delegates. Its sister hotel, The Grand in Eastbourne, East Sussex, won the accolade for the Most Excellent Waterside Hotel at the same awards.
The latest successes come in the wake of Tylney Hall winning the silver award for Outstanding Customer Service in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2011 and have added even more sparkle to the hotel’s 25th anniversary year.
Announcing the hotel’s place in the final three of the Large Hotel section in the Beautiful South Awards spokeswoman Nell Barrington said: “The panel was looking for all elements the hotel business to be excellent, with some of them outstanding. To be amongst the winners, given the level of competition, is therefore a very significant achievement indeed.”
Mark Ashton, Tylney Hall’s General Manager, said: “It has been a fantastic silver anniversary year and the earlier win, followed by the Johansens shortlist and the announcement of our place in the finals of the Beautiful South Awards couldn’t have come at a better time. The nominations and awards have covered both the corporate and leisure aspects of our business and are a wonderful recognition of the team and their dedication to the highest standards of excellence in customer service across the board.”
Tylney Hall is part of Elite Hotels, which won the AA’s first ever Eco Hotel Group of the Year award in 2010. Tylney Hall is rated as an AA Red Star hotel, the standard awarded for the highest levels of accommodation and customer service.
