It must be the wedding season for venues here in Hampshire. Every weekend from mid-September onwards there seems to be a wedding fair in our local area. Or it could be as a bride-to-be myself they stand out more to me than they have in previous years. As a wedding venue, we here at Tylney Hall are no different, in fact we are preparing for our wedding showcase (to be held on Sunday 16th October), however ours is a little different to the usual wedding fair format…
Over the past couple of weeks we have been in touch with our key suppliers to help us decide how to best dress our function rooms to show them off to engaged venue searching couples. We have three ceremony rooms and three reception rooms, all of which on the day are dressed as if a wedding or ceremony is about to take place, giving the couple a real feel of how the venue could look on their wedding day.
At our wedding showcase, couples are asked to make an appointment prior to the date and on the day they are met by our Toastmaster and introduced to an Event Co-ordinator who shows the couple (and any friends or family they wish to bring along with them) the function suites that best suit their requirements, along with viewing areas for photographs, a selection of bedrooms and taking the opportunity to sample Champagne and canapés.
The couple then meet with Garry or Louise, our Wedding Co-ordinators, to discuss specific requirements that they have in mind for their day, and, if all goes well provisionally hold a date.
