Explore Hampshire this May for National Walking Month

This month marks the return of National Walking Month, encouraging people of all ages to get outdoors and explore the UK countryside.

At Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens, we are perfectly placed in the heart of Hampshire for you to celebrate the occasion and explore the surrounding countryside, as well as our own 66 acres of beautiful grounds.

Guests staying with us can leave the car keys behind as they step out of our historic hotel, through the lovingly restored grounds and into the countryside beyond, with a selection of free route maps available from reception.

There are a wealth of local walks for you to enjoy including a 7.5 mile ramble taking in the River Loddon, the pretty village of Sherfield-on-Loddon and the hotel’s infamous 14-mile vista, thought to be the longest uninterrupted view in Hampshire.

If you’re visiting us with little ones, they can get involved too with a specially designed Children’s Ramble, taking in the most exciting sites within our grounds. Various points on the route are marked out in the guide including ‘Kickabout Corner’, for which you can borrow a ball from reception, and ‘Creepy Tunnel’, a suitably spooky WWII air raid shelter.

After a long walk, why not take the weight of your feet with afternoon tea (from £25 per person) or a drink in one of our stunning lounges, before retiring to your luxurious room from just £84 per person per night based on two sharing.

So, dig out your walking boots and come and explore our stunning grounds and surrounding countryside. Find out more and book here
