Subtitled ’The School for Lovers’, Cosi fan tutte was Mozart’s final collaboration with the librettist Lorenzo da Ponte and is considered by many to be his most refined and haunting exploration into the contradictions of the heart. Two young officers think they are putting their sweethearts to a test, but everyone receives an unexpected education in life and love. Of course, it all ends happily, or does it? Beautifully costumed and performed theatre style by Candlelight Opera’s talented company of singers and accompanied by the Candlelight Chamber Orchestra, the glorious score features some of the best loved music in all Mozart’s Operatic works.
Guests are invited to arrive to this “Black-tie event” at 4.00pm for apéritifs. The performance begins at 5.00pm in the Tylney Suite and is expected to last for approximately two hours. During a short interval, Champagne and Canapés will be served. At the conclusion of the Opera, a Gourmet dinner will be served in our award winning Oak Room Restaurant, accompanied by fine wines to complement the menu.
The price for this event is £135.00 per person, inclusive of apéritifs, champagne and canapés, dinner with fine wines, coffee and the opera performance.
For guests attending the opera, a special accommodation rate is available for the Sunday night of £65.00 per person on a bed and breakfast basis, based on two sharing a room. Weekend accommodation packages are also available.
