As Tylney Hall’s garden author in residence this year, Lia will be taking inspiration from her critically-acclaimed 2019 almanac of the same name, guiding guests on everything from using your garden to grow nourishing fruit and vegetables, to traditions surrounding the seasonal equinoxes and how to spot unique star constellations in the night sky.
Following Lia's Spring inspired afternoon tea and talk in April, the second event of the year will centre around the autumn equinox, the pivotal turn of the year and the start of astrological autumn. Guests will be treated to an autumnal six-course tasting menu highlighting the best seasonal produce, whilst Lia guides the group through the harmonious changing of the seasons and nature’s reaction to this time of harvest.
An interesting account of our natural earth and the wonders of everyday life, Lia will note key astrological sights and explain how we can get ready for the colder, darker months of winter, the food and festivities to look forward to and must-do actions to prepare your garden for next year.
When? Friday 27 September 2019
Inclusions: Fascinating winter talk with a delightful six-course tasting menu, brought to you by executive chef Mike Lloyd and his brigade.
