About our Executive Head Chef: Michael Lloyd

Executive Head Chef Michael Lloyd joined the team at Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens in 2016, bringing a three AA Rosette background to enhance the hotel's dining experience.

A fully trained fishmonger as a teenager, Michael became a full-time chef after graduating from Bristol University with a degree in psychology. He has worked for a collection of fine-dining restaurants and country house hotels, including Heckfield Place and The Vineyard in Stockcross. Prior to starting at Tylney Hall, Michael held the role of Executive Head Chef at the Compleat Angler in Marlow, where he took the restaurant from two AA Rosettes to three.

Michael is passionate about the training and development of young chefs and has brought his individual style of modern British dining to Tylney Hall, and with a team of 19, is responsible for overseeing all of the hotel’s dining, including the 2 AA Rosette Oak Room Restaurant, lounge dining, room service and conference and banqueting.

Dress Code

Whilst we do not operate a dress code, most of our guests choose smart casual or formal wear. Guests are respectfully requested to refrain from using mobile phones whilst dining in the Oak Room Restaurant.
