Easter Holiday Fun

We have plenty to keep little ones entertained over the Easter Holidays at Tylney Hall, but if you do want to venture beyond our beautiful grounds, we have lots of great places close by…

The Vyne, National Trust

Why go?
For a stroll around the estate (452 hectares), play in the hidden hedge playground and warm the cockles in the National Trust café. A spot of Tudor history & don't miss the Cadbury Easter egg hunt! After paying normal admission, collect your £3.00 sheet from the Easter tent and look for ten wooden discs containing clues that are hidden in the garden.

Marwell Zoo

Why go?
BRICKOSAURS! A world-first collection of LEGO brick dinosaurs is coming to Marwell Zoo. This prehistoric experience features 50 life-sized sculptures built with more than two million LEGO bricks. One highlight includes a giant eight-metre T-Rex and also a few surprises!

You can also experience face-to-face encounters with a diversity of wildlife, including Rica the Linne’s two-toed sloth, as you’re immersed by exotic plants in a tropical climate all while learning about the flow of energy through life. Visitors can also enjoy a range of daily animal talks and feeds including giraffes, meerkats and Humboldt penguins. With five adventure playgrounds, a tractor train, and hundreds of exotic and endangered animals across 140 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland, there’s plenty to occupy your little ones whilst you relax and soak up the surroundings.

Winchester Science Centre

Why go?
Science of Sweets at Winchester Science Centre! Enjoy a pick ‘n’ mix of hands-on science in the Invention Studio. Make your own Wonker-inspired sweet machine and enjoy live science shows featuring exploding fat and a sugar flame thrower. Top of the day with a flight through space by booking in for a planetarium show.

Wellington Country Park

Why go?
Wellington Country Park has an action-packed line up for the Easter holidays – including Bubble Fun; April the Peteza & Big Foot Show; Family Circus Skills & Trapeze Workshop; Easter crafts and The Mega Egg Hunt. Check the website for specific dates.

You can also take full advantage of the adventure play areas, zip wire, an array of farm animals including: Shetland ponies, donkeys, sheep, chickens, rabbits, pigs and goats! You’ll find a Jumping Pillow to bounce on, sand pits, water play & diggers, an indoor soft play area, a miniature railway and mini golf! Wellington Country Park is around 10-minutes’ drive from the hotel.
