Fleet Art Society enjoy a day painting in our gardens

On Tuesday 4 August we were delighted to welcome some passionate painters from the Fleet Art Society to explore our picturesque gardens for the day.

The local art group were given exclusive access to our 66 acres of stunning outdoor scenery as they spent the day painting the wide variety of garden landscapes at the hotel, including our lovingly restored and recently renovated Water Garden, originally designed by Gertrude Jekyll.

The Fleet Art Society was founded 50 years ago and has grown steadily to its current membership of 200 experienced and amateur artists, all passionate about capturing the beauty of the surrounding areas.

The visit to Tylney Hall was part of the society’s summer painting and sketching days which have been taking place twice monthly since May at various scenic locations throughout the county.

It was fantastic to welcome Fleet Art Society to our garden this month. We are extremely proud of the gardens at the hotel, there are many hard-working individuals who work tirelessly to ensure they are kept pristine and it was a privilege to see some of the beautiful artwork produced on the day. We think it is of vital importance to support local groups like the Fleet Art Society and look forward to welcoming them again in the future.

We were delighted when Maria Haythornthwaite from the Fleet Art Society shared her positive feedback from the day. “I cannot say enough how much we appreciate Tylney Hall Hotel’s beautiful grounds.  We would love to visit again for another afternoon sometime later in the year.”
