How to keep mini guests occupied over Half Term

There really is no reason to leave Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens during the February Half Term – with our heated indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, snooker table, garden games, free bike hire, indoor games room and the friendly ducks & koi carp to feed.

Not forgetting the 66-acres of gardens to explore and hunt down our resident trolls! Or find our hidden air raid shelter at the bottom of the vista.

But if you do want to venture beyond our beautiful grounds, we have lots of fabulous attractions close by…

Marwell Zoo

Why go?
Escape the frosty February weather and head into a warm paradise at Marwell Zoo’s Tropical House. Experience face-to-face encounters with a diversity of wildlife, including Rica the Linne’s two-toed sloth, as you’re immersed by exotic plants in a tropical climate all while learning about the flow of energy through life. Visitors can also enjoy a range of daily animal talks and feeds including giraffes, meerkats and Humboldt penguins. With five adventure playgrounds, a tractor train, and hundreds of exotic and endangered animals across 140 acres of beautiful landscaped parkland, there’s plenty to occupy your little ones whilst you relax and soak up the surroundings.

All these exciting activities are free with entry – book online at least three days in advance and save 25% on General Admission to the Science Centre.

You Are Here! Live-action planetarium show (16-22 Feb)
February half term will also see the return of You Are Here!, a hugely popular 30-minute planetarium show that combines live performance with the immersive 360° full-dome planetarium experience. You Are Here! was developed by Winchester Science Centre in collaboration with Glasgow-based theatre company The Occasion and has been touring the UK since its launch in Winchester in October 2018.
