For the Family
Keeping little ones entertained for six weeks of summer holidays can feel like a challenge in itself, but Hampshire is full of family-friendly adventures waiting to be discovered. From getting closer to nature to exploring the great outdoors, there are plenty of ways to make the most of the summer together. Start closer to home with our very own Tylney Hall Garden Trail, where little explorers can follow the trail through our beautiful grounds while keeping an eye out for the wildlife that calls the estate home. For a day of adventure, head to Basingstoke’s Milestones Museum, just a short drive from Tylney Hall, where families can step back in time and explore a fascinating recreation of Victorian and 1930s Hampshire. Or, for something a little more energetic, spend the day exploring the trails, woodland and outdoor spaces at The Vyne, a National Trust estate just a short drive away. Three very different adventures, but each offering the perfect opportunity to get outside, discover something new and make memories together this summer.
For Couples or Friends
Summer is the perfect excuse to step outside your usual routine and discover somewhere new, whether you’re planning a day out with friends or looking for the perfect setting for a date. Take advantage of the warmer weather to explore a little closer to home, from uncovering centuries of history at nearby Odiham Castle, to enjoying a leisurely walk through the picturesque village of Odiham and its surrounding countryside. For something a little different, head to Basingstoke Canal for a scenic stroll along the towpath, or simply slow things down and enjoy good company back at Tylney Hall. Spend an afternoon exploring our beautiful gardens before settling in for a drink or al fresco dining surrounded by Hampshire countryside. Sometimes, the best summer plans are the ones that give you a reason to simply spend time together.
